As a Armed Security Guard - Government Site in Crozier, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures for access control, visitor management, and property protection.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
