As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will play a key role in helping to deter potential security-related incidents and maintaining order throughout your assigned area. In this patrol-focused, armed role, you will conduct regular rounds, remain highly visible, and provide support to employees, visitors, and the public. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all incidents and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
• Assist with access control procedures, including verifying credentials and monitoring entry points as directed.
• Support emergency response efforts and follow established protocols in the event of an incident at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
