We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Nurse Manager for our client's Operating Room (OR) department in Roseville, United States. In this crucial leadership role, you will support the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a culture of excellence within the OR team.

  • Assist in managing daily OR operations, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to OR nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
  • Participate in staff recruitment, orientation, and ongoing education programs
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, conducting regular assessments and providing constructive feedback
  • Assist in managing the department budget and resource utilization
  • Serve as a liaison between OR staff, physicians, and other hospital departments to facilitate effective communication and coordination of care
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Support the implementation and utilization of new technologies and evidence-based practices in the OR

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 5 years of OR nursing experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant healthcare technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of OR procedures, protocols, and perioperative nursing practices
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisive and sound judgments in high-pressure situations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and quality improvement methodologies
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in OR nursing and leadership
