Responsibilities Our ideal candidate has 2+ years' experience in family law and has knowledge of Minnesota procedures. The candidate also has strong attention to detail and follow-up skills. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Drafting motions, affidavits, legal arguments, testimony, and trial briefs
• Hearing preparation
• Case consultation and strategizing with the client
• Communicating with opposing parties, courts, and others
• Performing case law research to identify and apply relevant judicial decisions, statutes, etc.
• Investigating the facts of a case
• Reviewing and monitoring new and updated laws and regulations
• Crafting substantive correspondence
• Editing and approving paralegal-crafted documents
Qualifications Requirements:
• 2+ years' experience in family law
• Admitted to Minnesota Bar
• Expresses sensitivity to others - can make clients feel comfortable sharing personal information relating to their cases
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Open-minded and willing to learn
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Can quickly adapt to changing deadlines
• Ability to manage many cases at one time
• Technologically savvy
• Extensive use of Microsoft Office products
The Attorney will work amongst the firm's Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Wayzata, & Stillwater offices in addition to enjoying remote work from their home.
