Job Description

An international freight forwarding company is currently seeking a motivated Branch Manager to lead their operations in the southern Elk Grove Village, Illinois area. The ideal candidate will have experience with operations management, employee supervision and training, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time and direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Branch Manager Responsibilities Include:

• Manage all logistics and warehouse operations, including managing vendor and customer relationships, shipment planning, inventory control, cost and budget analysis, etc.
• Oversee general administration of company office and employees; participate in interviewing and hiring, performance reviews, and shift scheduling
• Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations regarding shipping, customs, and documentation
• Plan and implement process improvement initiatives
• Report to company headquarters regularly, and maintain records of facility activities
• Other duties as assigned

Branch Manager Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Supply Chain-related field preferred
• At least 5 years’ work experience in international logistics and management; specific experience with all methods of freight transportation (air, ocean, ground transportation) is a must
• Demonstrated experience with employee supervision and leadership
• Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
