About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Certified Electrical Contractor (CEC) to join our team in the Orlando area. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and customer service. You will perform a combination of electrical installations, service work, troubleshooting, planning, and project oversight.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documents
• Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds Florida building and electrical codes
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems efficiently and safely
• Install electrical systems including panels, circuits, breakers, lighting, and grounding systems
• Oversee job sites, manage workflow, and coordinate with inspectors when required
• Maintain accurate documentation for all work completed
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally
• Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to OSHA and NEC standards
• Assist in estimating materials, labor, and project timelines
• Supervise apprentices or helpers (if applicable)

 

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Certified Electrical Contractor (CEC) License (mandatory)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical work (commercial or residential)
• Strong knowledge of NEC and Florida Building Code
• Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish
• Experience with permitting and inspections in Central Florida (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders, roofs, or confined spaces
• Strong communication skills and professional work ethic

 

Preferred Skills

• Experience with solar installations, battery systems, inverters, or PV wiring
• Lighting systems (commercial, architectural, or theatrical)
• Service upgrades and full panel replacements
• Home automation, generators, EV chargers, ATS systems
• Familiarity with estimating software or job costing
