Title: Chassis Mechanic
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46225

Shift: M-F 8:00-4:30pm
Duration: Permanent / Direct-Hire
Interview Process: Onsite - 1 & Done
Pay Rate: $22.25-$28.60/hr (based on experience, education, certifications, etc.)
Start Date: ASAP
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum of 1-year verifiable mechanic experience in ANY industry (commercial)
- Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs
- Must be comfortable working flexible hours in emergencies
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Must have own hand tools
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be willing to complete a drug screen
PLUSSES:
- Willingness to obtain Forklift Certification
DAY TO DAY:
North America’s leading operator of depot service terminals and intermodal and finished vehicle ramps is looking for a Chassis Mechanic to join their team! This role can pay $22.25-28.00/hr based on experience, and this person will be responsible for:
- Conducts routine/scheduled maintenance on railroad leased/owned containers and chassis
- Repairs equipment in accordance with railroad, IEP, manufacturer & FMCSA guidelines
- Documents repairs according to an established reporting system; verbally and in writing
- Repairs tires, brakes, lights, landing leg and framework
- Performs light welding when required
- Other duties as assign
