Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Roofing Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial roofing projects from planning through closeout. This role is critical to ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in commercial roofing systems, excellent leadership and organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing successful construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Initiation

• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans outlining timelines, budgets, resources, and materials.
• Conduct pre-construction site visits to assess roofing conditions and recommend appropriate solutions.

Project Execution & Leadership

• Direct and coordinate all field activities, including subcontractor management and material logistics.
• Monitor project milestones, track progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Proactively resolve project challenges and maintain smooth execution across all phases.
• Enforce jobsite safety standards in compliance with OSHA and company policy.

Financial Oversight

• Manage project budgets and control costs to meet or beat financial targets.
• Track expenditures, review change orders, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure accurate billing and documentation for all project-related financials.

Quality Assurance

• Establish and enforce quality control protocols to ensure high standards of workmanship.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and manufacturer guidelines.

Client Communication

• Serve as the primary liaison with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide consistent updates on project status, timelines, and changes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships that support repeat business and referrals.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain thorough project records including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports.
• Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial roofing project management experience.
• Expertise in a variety of low-slope and steep-slope commercial roofing systems.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing field crews and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in construction management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
