Salary: $18.27-$30 per hour

We are a long-established agricultural contractor, specializing in agricultural development and commercial building projects. We are currently looking for a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our growing team. Job Description:
As a Concrete Finisher, you will play a key role in ensuring that all concrete surfaces are smooth, level, and properly set. You will work closely with our team of tradesmen and laborers on construction sites to carry out a variety of concrete finishing tasks. This position requires a combination of experience, technical skill, and attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Concrete Placement & Finishing: Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces, including floors, foundations, walls, driveways, ramps, and other structures, using hand and power tools.
  • Formwork Setup: Erect and secure concrete forms for various structures, ensuring proper alignment and level. Remove forms once concrete is set and cured.
  • Smoothing & Leveling: Use trowels, floats, and other tools to smooth and level wet concrete to desired finish. Apply techniques such as edging, jointing, and texturing for professional results.
  • Surface Treatments: Apply sealants, hardeners, and other treatments to concrete surfaces for added durability and aesthetics.
  • Concrete Curing: Monitor concrete curing process to ensure proper setting and strength. Maintain optimal curing conditions.
  • Job Site Preparation: Prepare and clean job sites, clear debris, and set up scaffolding and ramps.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate concrete finishing equipment and tools, such as power trowels, vibrators, pneumatic hammers, and other machinery.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure all equipment and tools are used safely and correctly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the construction team to assist with various tasks, including material handling, setup, and site organization.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher or similar role in construction.
  • Concrete Skills: Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques, including troweling, floating, and texturing. Experience with various concrete treatments such as sealers and hardeners.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Ability to operate concrete finishing tools and machinery, such as trowels, floats, power trowels, vibrators, and pneumatic hammers.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and precision, ensuring smooth, level, and defect-free surfaces.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle physical work in varying weather conditions. Ability to work in all types of weather and outdoor environments.
  • Driving License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Drug Testing: Ability to pass a drug screen (pre-employment and random testing).
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others, following instructions from foremen and collaborating with team members to complete tasks efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, or squat for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity to handle tools and materials effectively.
