Description

Summary

The Reconstruction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management of reconstruction projects. They are responsible for delivering a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors, resource providers, and company employees involved in performing reconstruction services.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

1. Customer Satisfaction
   1. Compile and resolve punch list items.
   2. Perform final walk-through with customer.
   3. Secure a signed Completion of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer.
2. Customer Communication
   1. Conduct pre-construction meeting with customers.
   2. Provide project updates (daily narrative) to customers and clients.

1. Construction Management
   1. Schedule all subcontractors and material suppliers.
   2. Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work.
   3. Document all project activities in the job book.
   4. Execute change orders.

1. Subcontractor/Resource Provider Management
   1. Set expectations on a project-by-project basis.
   2. Maintain quality standards through site inspections.
   3. Provide evaluation and rating of all vendors and subcontractors.
   4. Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions.

1. Cost Control and Schedule Adherence
   1. Ensure material suppliers deliver exactly what was purchased.
   2. Ensure subcontractors complete all work in accordance with their purchase orders.
   3. Validate schedule and progress.
   4. Identify areas outside of contracted scope of work.
