About the Job We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Copywriter II to join our Creative team. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate and integrate marketing campaigns and content across multiple channels that support our brand vision. The Copywriter is responsible for translating business strategies into relevant messaging for campaigns, omni-channel marketing, and content for both digital and print. This position reports to the Chief Brands Officer.
What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities - Develop and deliver strategic, engaging copy for Jos. A. Bank creative assets including marketing campaigns, editorial and promotional emails, banner ads, website assets, blog content, gift guides, direct mail, in-store signage, and print collateral across multiple merchandise categories for the brand.
- Partner with Marketing Planning, Creative Project Managers, and Design stakeholders to ensure messaging works in design and ladders back to brand campaign platform, business, and messaging strategies.
- Work to meet strategic goals, evolve brand voice, create consistency, follow brand guidelines and employ effective retail messaging best practices.
- Contribute to content for editorial emails and special creative initiatives.
What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience - Bachelor's degree required, English, Journalism, Creative Writing, and Marketing, preferred
- Must provide at least five examples of relevant work, available online
- Stellar communication and written English skills, including good spelling and grammar
- 5+ years' experience working for creative agency or in-house marketing/creative team
- Skilled at developing copy concepts/content in a retail or marketing environment for multiple channels, including digital and print
- Experience and/or knowledge of men's apparel a plus
- Consistent eye for detail
- Proactive, fun and hardworking with a positive outlook
- Creative problem solver who thrives on collaboration
- Flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the business
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously both in an office environment and our current remote work environment

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands - Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
- Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, in a hybrid work arrangement from our Dublin California office.

The starting salary for this position is $76,400 - $101,800 and may increase to $110,000 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
