Role Overview
We are hiring two Development Coordinators to directly support our Development Project Managers. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who want to start a career in real estate development and grow within the organization. You will gain hands-on exposure to the full development lifecycle — from early due diligence through design, permitting, finance, construction, and lease-up.
This position is intentionally structured as the first step in Blue Sky’s development career track:
Development Coordinator → Assistant Development Manager → Development Project Manager
Responsibilities
· Support Development Project Managers in advancing active affordable housing developments statewide
· Participate in initial site due diligence and feasibility research
· Solicit proposals from third-party consultants and support contract administration
· Update trackers, memos, checklists, forecasting files, planner, and project records
· Schedule meetings, prepare notes, and organize project documentation
· Assist with permitting, utility setup, USPS addressing, keying, and warranty period items
· Support analysis related to budgeting, compliance, and project reporting
· Participate in special initiatives and strategic projects as assigned
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Project Management, Construction, Urban Planning, or related field (or upcoming graduate)
· Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
· Demonstrated interest in real estate development, affordable housing, or impact-focused work
