Your New Role CNN is looking for a Director of Livestreams to lead the editorial and production workflow for live video across digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a seasoned digital producer with strong live production experience, editorial judgment and newsroom leadership skills to innovate and help shape how audiences experience live news as it’s happening. The role requires a strong communicator who will collaborate with newsroom leadership to align live coverage with editorial priorities and audience needs. This role will report to the VP of Video Editorial. Lead the day-to-day strategy and execution of livestreams on digital platforms ensuring coverage is accurate, timely, and engaging. Work fast during breaking news situations while maintaining highest journalistic standards Supervise daily workflow including planning and technical execution Partner across the global newsgathering operation to ensure seamless execution Train, mentor and coach producers, field teams and talent on expectations and deliverables Collaborate across editorial, audience, product and insights teams to drive innovation in live formats Use analytics to refine coverage and strategies Qualifications & Experience Minimum 10 years of video editorial production experience, preferably in a newsroom or breaking news environment. At least 3 years of direct team leadership and people management experience. Strong record of building and scaling video experiences or franchises. Demonstrated editorial vision, strategic thinking, and ability to innovate in visual storytelling. Strong data fluency, with experience interpreting platform-native video metrics and driving performance-driven editorial planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In compliance with local law, we disclose compensation ranges where required. Base pay is one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package. Pay Range: $101,220.00 - $187,980.00 per year. Other rewards may include bonuses, incentives, and program-specific awards.
