Sterling Design Support Services (SDS2), a unit of iQuasar LLC for one of their clients is seeking to fill Solid Waste Engineer Position. Position: Solid Waste Engineer Location: Jefferson City, MO and Springfield, MO Position Type: On-Site Qualifications: Provides project leadership, task management and organization for solid waste, civil engineering and environmental projects primarily in the states of Missouri, Kansas and Illinois. Earthwork design and construction QA experience is required. Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a project team, and work directly with clients. Strong report writing and verbal communication skills are required. Responsible for task implementation and completion. Assists with company business development and maintaining client relationships and satisfaction with project deliverables. Coordination is required with co-workers for task assignments, deliverables and technical training. Task leadership, self-discipline and familiarity with contract services is required. Responsibilities: Your project work assignments will include pre-design investigation and evaluation; preliminary planning; conceptual design; design development; permitting; preparation of construction documents; construction cost estimating; environmental/local permitting; and, construction observation. Type of Projects: The types of projects in which you will be involved will include, but not be limited to: solid waste; civil design; water resources; storm water management; geotechnical investigations; construction quality assurance; wastewater collection and treatment; environmental permitting and compliance; environmental site assessments and remediation; and solid waste management. Typical projects involve heavy civil construction, site development, public works infrastructure, river/stream stabilization, and geologic/geotechnical modeling. Minimum Education Required: BS Degree or Higher in Engineering, Civil or Environmental P.E. license in Missouri or ability to obtain it through reciprocity Minimum Experience Required: 10 years Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, engineering application software.
