Job Description: Great Ecology has a robust litigation support team working on anywhere from 5-10 cases per year on environmental matters ranging from habitat restoration, injury to natural resources, ecotoxicology, contamination, oil spills, and coastal issues including climate change and sea level rise. We are seeking a seasoned and credentialed environmental practitioner who can expand upon our existing footprint both inside and outside our current practice areas. This person would add to the case load, assist with managing the current team of scientists and designers, and hire additional resources as needed to help build the overall practice. Great Ecology scientists have worked on many multi-billion-dollar litigation cases on some of the largest and most complicated sites in the US. Help leverage our talent and experience to expand and grow the team and the practice. Requirements: Candidates must have the following: PhD degree in Ecology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Forensics, Environmental Data Science, Environmental Management, or a directly related field, and at least 10 years of post-grad professional experience in quantitative ecology, spatial modeling, ecological risk assessment, ecotoxicology, fate & transport, environmental forensics, ecological restoration, or environmental management outside of the academic environment. Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience: Environmental litigation strategy and expert witness support. Experience working on projects that have a nexus with sea-level rise; investigation & remediation of contaminated sites; and/or site suitability and feasibility to inform restoration or mitigation.
