Boise Centre, Idaho’s premier event venue, is searching for a creative and motivated Executive Sous Chef to help lead our talented culinary team! This role is vital in delivering exceptional dining experiences, supporting exciting events, and driving innovation in our state-of-the-art kitchens.

Compensation: Earn between $57,788 - $96,314 annually, depending on experience

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead & Motivate: Inspire and supervise the culinary and stewarding teams to deliver outstanding results.
  • Ensure Excellence: Oversee food quality, safety, and presentation to exceed guest expectations.
  • Collaborate & Plan: Work with the Executive Chef to develop menus, manage inventory, and order supplies.
  • Strategize & Execute: Interpret Banquet Event Orders to plan production, labor, and inventory effectively.
  • Coach & Develop: Train and support team members, fostering growth and maintaining high standards.
  • Adapt & Manage: Step in as the kitchen leader when the Executive Chef is unavailable.
  • Innovate: Stay current with culinary trends to bring fresh ideas to the table.
Requirements:

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven leadership skills and culinary expertise, with knowledge of food safety, budgeting, and creative presentation.
  • Certification: Must have or be willing to obtain a ServSafe Manager Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills to work seamlessly across departments.
  • Precision: Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: A flexible mindset to adjust to changing workloads and priorities.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills to connect with staff and clients.

Physical & Work Requirements:

  • Activity: Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds in a high-energy kitchen environment.
