A 170-bed nonprofit hospital in coastal southeastern Massachusetts is adding an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Physician. Join one of the fastest-growing hospitals in Massachusetts. About the Position:

• Well-established community hospital that is part of a large Harvard Medical School-affiliated system
• The position entails general surgical pathology sign-out with a role in oversight of the clinical laboratories at one hospital.
• Join 3 other Pathologists
• The department?s volume is approximately 13,000 surgical specimens per year.
• In addition, approximately 5000 gynecologic cytology specimens and 1000 non-gynecologic specimens are processed per year, with occasional rapid on-site evaluation.
• The pathologists are involved in clinical consults, which primarily include evaluation of peripheral blood smears and blood bank serology.
• The candidate will be involved in general surgical and breast cancer conferences and participate in a rotating call schedule, approximately one week in every four.
• The Department of Pathology has a Pathologist Assistant and a grossing tech. No autopsies are performed at this hospital.
