The Miami, FL Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a Physician Assistant (Gastroenterology). You will provide care for Veteran patients, sometimes under the review and/or co-signature of a physician. Perform overall assessment of patients' conditions through history taking, record reviews, physical examinations, etc. Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for gastrointestinal conditions. Perform esophageal manometry, completing manometry documentation and preliminary manometry reports. Assist in GI procedures including, but not limited to endoscopies and colonoscopies.
One (1) year Gastroenterology or Hepatology experience is required, involving direct patient interaction in outpatient settings. Experience seeing patients with gastrointestinal disorders or liver disease is required.
