Bemana is recruiting an experienced Generator Technician to join a rapidly growing power generation company in the WA/OR territory.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for servicing, repairing, modifying and diagnosing standby power generators up to 2MW
• Performing failure analysis, emergency field service and/or repairs for customers
• Conducting start-ups, preventative maintenance services and load bank testing
• Maintaining and repairing automatic transfer switches, both regular and bypass units
• Working on a variety of commercial/industrial customer sites (hospitals, nursing homes, office buildings, fire stations, correctional facilities, events, etc.)
• Operate, drive and maintain company service truck and parts inventory on truck
• Check/repair all supporting systems such as fuel, cooling and electrical systems
• Clean, check, recondition and determine the reusability of used parts

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience working on standby generators and related equipment up to 2MW
• Experience conducting a load bank test and performing preventative maintenance
• Natural gas and/or diesel engine knowledge
• ATS and switchgear experience preferred
• PLC engine and generator controllers experience
• Strong written and verbal English skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self-starter and ability to work independently in the field
• Successfully able to obtain certifications
