Butterfly World seeks an all-around Landscaper / Groundskeeper / and or Maintenance person for the world's largest Butterfly and Bird Park.

This position involves various tasks, such as horticultural, maintenance, and groundskeeping. In addition, this candidate is comfortable working outdoors independently or as part of our team.

This position could move up to Assistant Landscape / Maintenance Manager. We have a few positions available.

Daily Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Knowledge to identify plant species.
• Water and care for varieties of flowers, plants, and trees.
• Water and apply fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides safely.
• Plant and prepare new areas for planting flowers, plants, and trees as needed.
• Maintain excellent work environment and practices to ensure the health of butterflies and birds.
• Operate power machinery as required.
• Weeding, Mulching, Pruning, Tree Trimming, Seeding, Fertilizing, Plant Propagation, Transplanting
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise and facilitate timely solutions
• Assist guests with plant-related questions and sales.
• General maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
• Ensure quality of experience and environment for all guests and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Job requirements:
•High School Diploma required
• Degree or certificate in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, Landscape Design, Certified Arborist, Planting Design, Landscape Management, or a related subject is a plus but not required.
• At least 1 year of work experience in landscaping or groundskeeping.
• Knowledge and experience in irrigation systems are a plus but not required.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.
