Description Health and Wellness Coordinator / Certified Personal Trainer Position Summary Showplace Cabinetry is seeking a dynamic and motivated
Health and Wellness Coordinator who is also a
Certified Personal Trainer to lead wellness initiatives and support overall employee well-being. In this role, you'll develop and implement health programs, conduct fitness assessments, and provide personalized coaching to help employees reach their wellness goals. You'll also analyze medical plan data to identify health trends, recommend cost-saving opportunities, and enhance employee health outcomes. Collaboration with HR, our Benefits Administrator, and external partners will be key to fostering a culture of wellness across our organization.
Essential Functions Wellness Program Coordination - Develop, implement, and manage company wellness initiatives and events.
- Conduct health education sessions, workshops, and wellness challenges.
- Track participation and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to promote a culture of health and well-being.
Personal Training & Fitness Coaching - Perform individual fitness assessments and create tailored exercise plans.
- Lead group fitness classes focused on strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health.
- Educate participants on proper techniques and injury prevention.
- Provide ongoing motivation, goal-setting, and progress tracking.
Health Promotion & Lifestyle Coaching - Offer guidance on nutrition, stress management, and overall wellness.
- Create and share health-related content such as newsletters or digital resources.
- Support employees in making long-term behavior and lifestyle changes.
Administrative & Compliance Duties - Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress, and participation.
- Ensure wellness programs meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage wellness budgets, partnerships, and vendor relationships as needed.
- Analyze self-insured medical plan data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Provide reports and recommendations to leadership on program effectiveness.
- Conduct benefits meetings for newly eligible employees.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications:
- Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent).
- CPR/AED Certification (required).
- Wellness Coaching or Health Education certification (preferred).
- Experience: 1-2 years in personal training, wellness coaching, or health program coordination.
- Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to motivate others and develop engaging wellness programs; proficiency in fitness assessment tools and health tracking software; ability to maintain confidentiality.
