About the Role
The Company is seeking a Middle School Career Coach to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding students in making informed educational and career choices, as well as connecting them with opportunities in their fields of interest. This role involves developing and nurturing relationships with local businesses and community organizations to facilitate job shadowing, internships, and apprenticeships. The Career Coach will also work closely with students to help them navigate various career and educational options, understand the training required for success in the workplace, and explore post-secondary opportunities. Collaboration with school counselors and other career coaches is essential to support students in their career and education planning. Applicants for the Middle School Career Coach position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field, and have the ability to earn a Career Development certification within the first year of employment. Work-based learning experience and a background in youth development are preferred. The role requires effective communication, the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, and a strong commitment to student success. The Career Coach will be expected to stay current with job market trends, educational opportunities, and CTE programs through professional development. Responsibilities also include overseeing the work-based learning program, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring compliance with data privacy and safety laws.
