Join our aquatics team and help maintain the health and safety of our members and participants within our aquatics programs. This position will work closely with the Aquatics Director at our Houser Branch (Onalaska) to ensure quality and safety throughout the organization. The Lifeguard/Swim Instructor is a full time, hourly position.

Shift details include: morning/mid-day hours.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Actively scan the pool deck and maintain a safe and welcoming pool environment
  
• Enforce all YMCA pool rules
  
• Respond to all pool emergencies and perform first-aid while on duty
  
• Teach swimming lessons to YMCA standards
  
• Communicate with supervisors, staff, members, and guests in a concise and positive manner
  

• Must be 18 years or older
  
• American Red Cross Lifeguard, First-aid, CPR, AED (training provided as needed)
  
• 1-5 years of Lifeguarding experience
  
• 1-5 years of Swim Instructor experience preferred
