About the Role

The Company is in search of a Managing Director for Institutional, Global, and Corporate Philanthropy. The successful candidate will lead a team of 12 fundraisers, with a focus on raising over $50M annually from corporations and large institutional foundations. This role is pivotal in contributing to the organization's overall revenue goals, which exceed $250M annually. The Managing Director will be responsible for ensuring the team meets or exceeds its fundraising targets, developing and refining strategic fundraising plans, and fostering strong relationships with funders. The position requires a minimum of 15 years' experience in professional philanthropy, with at least 6-8 years in a leadership role, and a proven track record of securing significant grants. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years of senior management experience. Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include working closely with the organization's leadership to solicit grants, growing the prospect pipeline, and developing innovative plans for new funding avenues, particularly in overseas markets. The role demands a leader with strong management skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and a commitment to the organization's mission and values. The candidate should be detail-oriented, have strong organizational and strategic thinking skills, and be able to travel up to 20% of the time. Experience with Salesforce is preferred, and a background in environmental NGOs and overseas fundraising is a plus. The Company is an equal-opportunity employer and is dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in its workforce.
