Summer Marketing Intern (San Diego-Based)
Hi-Tech Plating & Coating Company – San Diego, CA
Paid Internship | Summer 2025 | Part-Time or Full-Time
ABOUT US: Component Surfaces, Inc. is a manufacturing business providing high-quality plating solutions to manufacturers in the semiconductor, medical devices, telecommunications and other industrial markets where high-performance materials are used. We are looking for a marketing major looking to gain real-world experience in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do
As our Marketing Intern, you’ll work directly with the leadership team to:
- Identify new market segments and potential customers that could benefit from our capabilities.
- Develop targeted outreach campaigns (email, social media, industry forums) tailored to specific industries.
- Assist with marketing collateral creation —including case studies, capability overviews, and presentations.
- Research competitors and emerging trends in metal plating, additive manufacturing, and other metal finishing technologies.
- Explore partnerships with local manufacturers, tech firms, or R&D teams needing advanced coatings.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Business, or related major (will also consider recently graduated candidates).
- Based in the San Diego area or able to commute locally.
- Strong interest in B2B marketing and/or high-tech manufacturing.
- Comfortable conducting market research and outreach initiatives.
- Creative, self-starting, and eager to make a measurable impact.
Bonus Points For
- Knowledge of materials science, engineering, or industrial design.
- Experience with LinkedIn marketing, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
- Prior internships or academic projects in a technical field.
