Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, packaging, and stocking materials in our warehouse. You will also be involved in order fulfillment and utilizing warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from trucks or containers
- Package and label materials according to company standards
- Operate reach trucks or other equipment to move materials within the warehouse
- Stock shelves and organize inventory to maximize space utilization
- Assist with order fulfillment by picking and packing items for shipment
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory levels and maintain accurate records
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) on a regular basis
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
