Summary:

The molding technician provides support to the molding production department. This person is responsible for all aspects of the injection mold process and must be able to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities :

• Set up, heat up, start up, operate, troubleshoot, measure parts and adjust process settings on the injection molding equipment per standard
• Follow Plant and Departmental LEAN 5S guidelines
• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace some components of equipment. Able to perform mold PM's.
• Must be able to follow procedures and assist updating documentation, such as equipment Standard Work, Standard Operating Procedures, Make Orders, Standards, Operating Test Methods, Bill of materials, as needed
• Strong working knowledge of injection molding, including fundamental process controls, material handling, material flow and mixing.
• Requires a high degree of technical skill and experience in Injection Molding processing with a wide variety of polymers, high cavitation tools, and robotic automation
• This position also requires the ability to collaborate with various other support groups (i.e., Facilities, Tool Shop, etc) to implement equipment installation and improvements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Work Arrangement: onsite

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
