Salary: $91,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• Network Engineer
• Location: Hartford, CT, 100% Onsite

Responsibilities:

• I perform technical analysis of system issues and outages as they occur across customer enterprise networks.
• I conduct research to identify solutions for issues or escalate them to higher-level systems administrators and network engineers, depending on their complexity.
• I rack and stack network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls at customer data centers and MDF/IDF closets.
• I implement DNS changes in Infoblox and configure F5 load balancers.
• I manage proactive alerts from network switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and internet links, ensuring to fix issues before they have an impact.
• I oversee the physical connectivity of new devices, ensuring they are added to the network and accessible.
• I provide timely responses to all incidents, outages, and performance alerts.
• I recognize, identify, and prioritize incidents according to customer business requirements, interpersonal policies, and operational impact.
• I collect and review performance reports for various systems, reporting trends in hardware and application performance to assist senior technical personnel in predicting future issues or outages.
• I supervise a wide range of information and network systems, including telecommunications circuits, LAN/WAN systems, routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP systems, servers, storage, backup systems, operating systems, and core applications.
• I document all actions in accordance with standard company policies and procedures.
• I advise customers and third-party service providers about issues, outages, and remediation status.
• I collaborate with internal and external technical and service teams to build and update knowledge base articles.
• I perform basic systems testing and operational tasks, including the installation of patches, network connectivity testing, and script execution.
• I support multiple technical teams in operational environments with high uptime requirements.
• Requirements:
• I have at least 8 years of work experience.
• I hold the required certification of Network Analyst.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $91,000 to $120,000, dependent on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards based on performance, and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
