Position: Network Engineer II
Location: Fremont, California (Onsite)
Duration: 06+ months Contract

Job Overview:
The Network Engineer II will play a critical role in determining user requirements and designing specifications for computer networks. This position involves planning and implementing network upgrades, provisioning data center network equipment, and ensuring seamless network operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, scripting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:

• Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands.
• Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs.
• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
• Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operating systems.
• Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas.
• Develop and implement solutions for network problems.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Linux/Unix, and Python.
• Experience designing and building networks (not deployment-focused).
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage.
• Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software, and internet directory services software.
• Data center engineering knowledge (nice-to-have).
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Enterprise Tech background (preferred).

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required.

Pay Range: $60 - $65

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
