POSITION PURPOSE: Provides courier service within the school district.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Receive, sort and deliver items and supplies to scheduled locations.
- Prepare outgoing mail and packages; deliver to post office or other designated location.
- Receive and distribute shipments, incoming mail and internal communications delivered to the district office.
- Maintain communication with district office, schools and other departments as necessary.
- Deliver supplies from head nurse to all public and charter school.
- Deliver from technology department items for all public and charter school.
- Responsible for handling US flag.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.
QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Courier driver or route delivery driver experience preferred.
- Requires valid driver's license.
EXPERIENCE :
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience driving a delivery vehicle and ability to perform emergency roadside repairs (i.e., change tire).
- Knowledge of a postal meter system is preferred.
