Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Sandwich, MA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
40 hours/week
8-hour shifts Monday–Friday between 5:45 AM and 5:30 PM
Saturday shifts: 6:45 AM – 12:15 PM
Occasional weekends and holidays as required
Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections as required
Ensure proper specimen identification and timely transport to the laboratory
Communicate changes in patient orders to the Clinical Laboratory
Educate patients on appropriate specimen collection procedures
Inspect and restock phlebotomy carts and supply areas
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
Collaborate effectively with patients, staff, and medical personnel
Adhere to all confidentiality protocols and hospital policies
Recommend process improvements for quality and efficiency
Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Perform additional duties as assigned
Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions
Completion of Medical Terminology I or equivalent course or 6+ months of experience in a medically related administrative role (e.g., Nurse Assistant, Unit Clerk)
Completion of at least 80 hours of a basic phlebotomy training program, including both classroom and hands-on experience
Current certification in Phlebotomy
