Job Title: Commercial Construction Plumber

Pay: $28-34/hr

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced plumber to install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with state laws and local building codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures.
• Work under minimal to no supervision.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot any plumbing issues.
• Locate and repair water line leaks and remove clogs.
• Install and/or repair commercial appliances.
• Test plumbing and other installed fixtures to ensure proper function.
• Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in PVC, blueprint reading, installation, and pipe fitting.
• Experience in plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems.
• Commercial construction experience is required.
• Ability to diagnose and repair issues independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in the plumbing trade.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and site drawings.
• Experience with duct work and electrical systems.
• Knowledge in line jetting, backflow prevention, waste and vent lines, and supply lines.

Work Environment

You will work across various job sites, including the Roanoke, VT area, Westlake, Daleville, and Vinton. You must be able to travel to these sites independently. Work hours vary by site, typically from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with some sites offering four 10-hour workdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
