POSITION SUMMARY:

Work as member of the plumbing team performing preventative maintenance, repairs and operational checks on a variety of plumbing systems and supporting equipment in a Health care Facility. Ensure quality workmanship and high work standards. must be able to work in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Responsible for the assembling, installing and repairing pipes, and fixtures of heating, domestic water, and drainage systems as well as all of their supporting equipment Responsible for operation, maintenance and repairs on faucets, sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, and a variety of industrial water softening systems, as well as their supporting equipment Responsible for all medical gas fixtures, to include all gauges, components and piping Must have a team first attitude with all valiant employees Must maintain all records for any maintenance and repairs to be completed and submit in a timely manner. Must provide timely customer communication Ensure that all safety requirements and standards are being followed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a minimum of 4 years documented experience in the maintenance of industrial plumbing systems, and their supporting equipment. Working knowledge in the following areas: medical gas, water softeners, natural gas Working knowledge of plumbing hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, pipe benders, cutting torches, and all other applicable plumbing tools. Working knowledge of building plumbing piping layout riser diagrams, and pumping systems. Must be able to work well under pressure with minimal direct supervision.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 year plumbing technical training or apprenticeship program is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, use arms, stoop kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance for 50% of the working hours. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at least 30% of the work hours. Must be able to work in all types of weather

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand verbal directions in the English language. Prefer at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare facility Must be able to work flexible hours
