Title: Product Print Designer
Location: Ogden, UT (Hybrid, 4 days/week in office)

About the Role
HydroJug is looking for a designer with exceptional taste and the ability to translate cultural trends into hand-drawn prints that connect with our customer base. This is not a traditional surface design role—we’re seeking someone who’s immersed in what’s trending on TikTok, Pinterest, and Instagram, and can interpret those signals into fresh, ownable art for product. The ideal candidate is equal parts artist, trend forecaster, and cultural observer. You understand why a design went viral. You know how to draw something that could.
What You’ll Do
● Research and track visual trends across social media, fashion, interiors, packaging, and consumer brands
● Create original, hand-drawn artwork for seasonal collections, exclusives, and limited edition drops
● Collaborate closely with the product team to interpret trend forecasts and seasonal themes into HydroJug-ready designs
● Present concepts with clear rationale: “Why this print, for this customer, at this time?”
● Own the end-to-end print creation process from sketch to final art file
● Help build an internal library of trend references and seasonal moodboards
● Partner with packaging, product design, and marketing to ensure artwork consistency across formats
What You Bring
● 2–5 years of experience in surface design, illustration, or print design
● Strong hand-drawing and digital rendering skills (Procreate, Illustrator, etc.)
● Deep interest in pop culture, TikTok trends, color psychology, and youth aesthetics
● Taste. You know when something is “off” and why it won’t resonate.
● A portfolio that shows both artistic ability and trend fluency
● Ability to balance creative risk with brand alignment
Bonus Points If You
● Have experience designing for a Gen Z or Millennial consumer base
● Have worked in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or home goods categories
● Have a strong following or content presence on design or trend-based platforms
