Position Summary

The Production Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Simply Snacks Production team. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the ins and outs of consumer goods production. You will buying product and bags. follow up with suppliers daily. Work directly with the owner. vendor communication, sample tracking, and cross-functional coordination to help ensure timely delivery of finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the production calendar, including sample tracking, purchase orders, and production timelines
• Assist with vendor communications — collecting updates, confirming ship dates, and flagging delays
• Maintain accurate documentation related to raw materials, finished goods, and packaging components
• Update internal systems and trackers (e.g., PLM, Excel, or project management tools) with production and inventory data
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing samples for cross-functional review (e.g., Product Development, Marketing, QA)
• Help prepare materials for internal meetings or vendor calls, including timelines, spec sheets, and production recaps
• Will be working Directly with Overseas factories
• Monitor key deadlines and proactively escalate risks or conflicts to Production or Sourcing leads
• Support invoice tracking and reconciliation with the Finance or Accounts Payable team
• Assist with general administrative tasks, including file management, reporting, and scheduling
• Communicate regularly with international teams to resolve issues

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain.
• 2-4 years of experience in a consumer products, fashion, or food production environment preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with a high level of accuracy
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, or similar)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
• Interest in the food/snack industry and a collaborative team mindset

Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience

Location: Hillside, NJ, 5 days in office
