Job Description

Turing is looking for candidates with strong experience in recreation management, public programs, or municipal parks and recreation services.

Role overview:

• In this role, you will contribute to projects that help evaluate and enhance AI systems using your expertise in public recreation and community engagement.
• No prior AI experience is required.
• These projects will help you explore how AI can be leveraged to improve community programming, public engagement, and operational efficiency in government recreation services.

What does day-to-day look like:

• Design and solve real-world recreation and community service scenarios to test AI reasoning.
• Write clear, structured explanations covering program design, facility operations, budgeting, and event coordination.
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, inclusivity, and alignment with public service standards.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine AI understanding of municipal recreation workflows and community engagement practices.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a recreation worker or supervisor in government, municipal parks, or public recreation programs.
• Background in Recreation Management, Public Administration, Parks & Leisure, or a related field is preferred.
• Comfortable using web-based tools for data review and annotation.
• Strong English communication and reasoning skills.
• Ability to describe program operations and community engagement processes clearly and effectively.
