Job Description
Tollos is a dynamic and fast-growing company in the medical equipment industry, specializing in innovative patient mobility solutions designed to enhance comfort, safety, and independence.
We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to conduct inspections, testing, and analysis to maintain compliance with quality standards and specifications. The technician will collaborate with various teams to identify quality improvement opportunities and ensure that products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Document and analyze test results, providing detailed reports on findings and non-conformances.
· Utilize a variety of testing equipment and methodologies to assess product quality.
· Work closely with Production and Engineering to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
· Document and communicate findings and recommendations effectively to the superiors.
· Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
· Identify trends and root causes of quality issues, recommending and implementing preventive measures.
· Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.
· Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality-related documentation.
· Assist in preparing for audits and inspections by regulatory bodies and customers.
· Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members.
· Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies, root cause analysis techniques, and other quality improvement tools to address quality issues and optimize operations.
Core Competencies:
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
Education / Experience:
· Certificate, diploma, or associate degree program in a relevant field such as mechanical/electrical engineering technology, automotive technology, or biomedical technology.
· Certifications related to quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, CQI) are a plus.
· Two or more years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
· Statistical and metrology knowledge is an asset.
· Familiarity with ISO standards and Quality Management Systems is an asset.
· Proficiency in using quality control software and Microsoft Office Suite.
