Reliability Engineer, Reliability and Automation Engineering Team (RAE)

We are looking for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our Global Central Reliability Team, focusing on maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance of equipment. This role is an opportunity to join our team at this time and make a real impact in defining the Global Reliability Program, developing expertise in Root Cause Analysis and ensuring our facilities are adopting world class maintenance methodologies.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Implement effective problem-solving techniques to minimize the recurrence of equipment-related issues.
  2. Continuously monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and alignment in the implementation of the reliability program.
  4. Develop and implement standardized guidelines and policies for RCA content across Amazon's global operations.
  5. Ensure the consistent development, training, and support of a world-class RCA tool.
  6. Collaborate with teams across regions to ensure the adoption and optimization of the RCA program.
  7. Establish a continuous improvement process to continuously refine the problem-solving approach and share learnings across the organization.
  8. Develop and maintain a comprehensive equipment performance monitoring system to collect, analyze, and visualize relevant data.
  9. Regularly review and interpret equipment performance data to uncover opportunities for improving reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  10. Execute document quality control and auditing.
  11. Travel up to 50% (international and domestic).

About the team: Bridge to bring Field RCA needs from multiple regions into a structured process for deep diving high impacting events (HIE) across platforms such as MHE, BBM and Robotics. The team acts as gatekeepers to any changes needed for corrective data collection, training, and communication along with RCA program roadmaps. The team is introducing multi-regional guidelines and policies for RCA content and ensuring the development, training, and support of a world-class RCA tool.

Minimum qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience.
  2. Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level.
  3. Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $126,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
