Job Description

At MyHealthTeam, we’re dedicated to making life with a chronic illness easier for over 4.5 million members across more than 60 online social networks. Join our UX/UI Team and advocate design thinking alongside a former IDEO and Frog Design innovator and our design team of visual problem-solvers. We create meaningful solutions for people navigating their health journeys.

Are you passionate about using research and data-driven insights to develop innovative, scalable design concepts? If so, this senior-level position offers the exciting challenge and opportunity to create intuitive, impactful experiences for a diverse consumer audience with a wide range of user needs and behaviors. If you thrive on solving complex design problems with a user-first mindset and are ready to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to have you on board!

What You Get To Do Every Day:

  • Champion a human-centered design approach, always putting our members’ needs, goals, and unique quirks front and center.
  • Design seamless, intuitive user flows that make our opt-in patient communities a delight to use — testing, iterating, and improving to drive engagement.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and cross-functional teams to ensure we’re prioritizing and addressing the most important challenges for our members.
  • Convey design ideas and decisions clearly and confidently, while embracing feedback and balancing efficiency with creative exploration.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5 years of experience in digital interaction design, with a proven record of crafting consumer-focused mobile or web apps and delivering high-quality interactions.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a fast-paced start-up environment, managing multiple priorities, working independently, and confidently owning your projects from start to finish.
  • A naturally curious mind with a knack for redesigning interactions just for fun, exploring a wide range of UX articles, and effortlessly spotting real-world design flaws in everyday life.
  • Expertise in design tools like Sketch or Figma, along with strong communication skills to effectively present and advocate for your ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Experience designing for health or AI platforms is a big plus.

What’s in It for You:

  • Be our second UX designer, reporting to our Head of UX/UI and helping shape the future of patient communities — your work will truly make a difference in people’s lives.
  • Enjoy perks like flexible time off, 401(k) matching, and excellent healthcare benefits, because taking care of you matters too.
  • Grow your skills and career in a supportive environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and having a bit of fun along the way.

MyHealthTeam is committed to creating an inclusive space where current and future employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. Even if your experience does not check every bullet point, we still highly encourage you to apply. The best hires do not always check off every box of a job description.

This is a full-time, remote position. You are welcome to work in our downtown San Francisco office a couple of days a week. We are offering a great opportunity to make a difference in the healthcare space.

Company Vision

MyHealthTeam is a 100+ person, mission-driven company that creates social networks for people facing chronic health conditions. We believe that if you’re diagnosed with a disease such as multiple sclerosis, lupus, breast cancer, or diabetes (to name a few), it should be easy to find support, trusted information, and the best people around to help you.

With social networks in 60+ different chronic conditions and more than 4 million members, MyHealthTeam is the fastest-growing social network in chronic health. Three years from now, if you’re diagnosed with a chronic condition, we believe your doctor will prescribe one of our social networks because being engaged there will actually improve health outcomes. We develop partnerships that empower and are transparent to our members. We believe that a business can “do good” while “doing well.”

Expected Salary Range $130,000 — $170,000
To apply for this position, send your cover letter and resume to careers@myhealthteam.com with the subject line “Senior UX Designer.”
