JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Cabinet Finisher I

Summary:
Learn and perform basic technical skills related to aircraft cabinet finish processes under direct supervision
Gain familiarity with regulatory requirements, tools, and equipment used in the Cabinet Finish Shop
Develop proficiency in preparing and finishing furniture using sanding materials, polishes, adhesives, solvents, and masking products
Use the material tracking system to create parts requests, track discrepancies (squawks), and sign off completed work
Follow all safety procedures, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment (PPE); ensure protection of the aircraft interior (PTP)
Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement and safety initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience in woodworking, wood finishing, or auto body and painting in a technical environment preferred
Completion of a technical certificate in cabinet making or participation in a current-year youth apprenticeship program in a related field preferred
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be computer literate
Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined or restricted areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
