PRIMARY FUNCTION Oversees the HSEMS and day to day operations associated with safety health and environmental programs for Tunista Logistics Solutions on the Rock Island Arsenal in accordance with the Building Operations Services Contract.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Training of employees in good health and safety management practices
- Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and environmental risks.
- Oversee occupational health and safety matters, communications, and compliances related to personnel.
- Identify occupational health and safety hazards.
- Compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations in IAW government contract
- Establish and implement policies and procedures.
- Manage day to day and long-term activities of the combined government/TLS EHS team which will include technicians, specialists, and engineers.
- Administrative actions related to support EHS activities including surveillance and record keeping of job safety audits.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: - OSHA training/certifications
- EM385 Knowledge
- HAZMAT training Certification
- First Aid Training Certifications
- AED training Cert.
- Playground inspection certification
- Detail oriented
QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum 5 Years experience in a Safety and Environmental capacity.
- OSHA certification/training qualifications
- Microsoft Proficient
- Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
