Job Description

Artisan Wines Inc is seeking qualified individuals to add to our sales force in Connecticut. There are two well established territories to fill. One is Hartford and Litchfield counties, the other is New Haven and parts of Fairfield counties.
Who we are; A small but well established (27 years) direct importing distributor. The tight and focused portfolio is particularly strong in Italian wines with one of the most highly critically acclaimed portfolios in the USA. Our other areas of strength are Oregon and a growing portfolio of southern French wines.

You; Are professional, cheerful, charismatic, energetic, organized and hard working.
You; Simply love wine and see it as something far more than a commodity in the alcoholic beverage sector. You understand the role real wine plays as a cultural artifact of western civilization. And you already know quite a lot about it.
You; Have proven that you are both good at and like selling. The process of persuading someone to see things your way is a challenge you actually enjoy. You don't take a no easily but are tactful and creative at the same time.
You: Embodying all of the characteristics above, you realize that you could probably make more money selling something else other than wine, but that doesn't matter as it is what you want to do. You want to be a cog in the giant wheel that you believe in and that is called the wine business.
You; Are convinced at your core that persuading a customer to purchase and resell small production handcrafted wines truly benefits their business by helping to differentiate themselves from the many that deal in mass produced wines.
