Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious large School Bus Driver to join our transportation team for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and ensuring the well-being of passengers. If you enjoy driving and interacting with diverse groups of children, this role is perfect for you.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a bus following a set schedule and route
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit
- Communicate effectively with passengers and respond to inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times

Work is performed at a local Rochester, NY school district terminal.

Requirements:

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class B or higher with air brake, passenger and school endorsements.

- Clean motor vehicle record.
- Previous experience in large school bus driving.
- Ability to drive various types of buses, but large school bus driving is necessary.
- Strong communication skills to interact with passengers of diverse backgrounds
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous for better customer service

- Ability to pass background checks, DOT physical and drug screen and all NYSED compliance.

- Sign on bonus of $1,000 to be paid out in increments and then fully at end of school year June 2025.
