Job Description

• Maintain Costume Shop, installation and operation of costumes, and wigs.
• Proactively follows through on all aspects of projects.
• Track project status and proactively communicate updates and/or reminders.
• Construction and fabrication of costumes.
• Perform repairs, alterations, and construction of wardrobe articles, or specialty props for shows and special events
• Ensures the timely transfer and storage of costumes, costume accessories, and wigs to designated performance space. Fits/adjusts costume to actors.
• Clean and maintain all shop equipment.
• Operate sewing equipment
• Launder wardrobe and costume pieces
• Supports department operations.
• Must be able to move costume racks full of clothing from location to location.
• Carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting, and holding objects weighting up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for Guests and team Members
• Maintain costumes for Warner Bros. and DC Characters in Accordance with Warner Bros. and DC Standards
• Other Duties as Assigned to support Department

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Should possess strong organizational skills.
• Has general knowledge of clothing construction, alterations and repair
• Previous theatrical costume experience preferred
• Self-Motivated skills to work independently, without direct supervision
• Must be able to effectively communicate and work with others
• Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Operation of power sewing equipment, hazardous/non hazardous chemicals
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including: early mornings/days/evenings/late nights/weekends/holidays. This is especially important during the Fall/Winter
