As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site - Full Time in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued team member with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring for unusual activity, responding to incidents as needed, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and a professional presence. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents as required by site procedures.
• Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and directions as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary according to site protocols.
• Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
