Akkodis is seeking a Software Quality Engineer for a contract with a client in Waltham, MA. This role involves designing and executing manual and automated test cases, debugging scripts, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to ensure product quality in cardiac electrophysiology systems.

Rate Range: $45/hour to 55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate system functionality and ensure compliance with user and business requirements in the Electrophysiology domain.

• Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Python and tools like Selenium or Squish in a Linux environment.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve issues in test scripts and automation frameworks, ensuring accurate verification points and reliable test execution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and field support to ensure product quality and resolve defects.

• Document test results, write detailed reports, and track bugs and enhancements using tools like JIRA and Git/BitBucket.

• Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, product reviews, and bug triage meetings to align testing efforts with development goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 3+ years with a bachelor’s degree or 1+ years with a master’s degree in software testing or a related role.

• Proficiency in Python and experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Squish.

• Hands-on experience working in a Linux environment and familiarity with Agile Scrum development processes.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
