Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for providing leadership in procurement activities for the site, including inventory control and material flow. You will develop and execute strategies within a lean environment, focusing on talent leadership, Customer experience, Risk management, and Cash Generation. Responsibilities include tactical daily execution of material procurement and longer-term site-specific sourcing strategies, aiming to develop supply chain agility, generate cash flow, and optimize material availability.

This role requires onsite work during the dayshift 5 days per week in Mentor, OH, with potential domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

What You'll Do As a Supply Chain Manager

1. Drive sourcing initiatives to minimize risk, reduce costs, and ensure supply continuity meeting Customer needs.


2. Manage supplier relationships and performance.


3. Lead team activities for spend aggregation, supplier consolidation, rationalization, and segmentation.


4. Coordinate logistics with internal and external warehouses and suppliers.


5. Support the Demand Plan through procurement to meet manufacturing and business goals.


6. Manage requisitions for materials and services supporting production and quality requirements.


7. Oversee site operational inventory levels for immediate and future requirements.


8. Align procurement, planning, and production to manage working capital goals.


9. Ensure data accuracy in item master related to procurement and suppliers.


10. Implement continuous improvement programs with suppliers.


11. Support inventory counts and physical inventories through inventory control systems.


12. Participate as a key member of the Plant operations team, supporting cross-functional decisions.


13. Lead activities to increase efficiency and reduce procurement costs.


14. Analyze inventories and develop plans to optimize customer service and inventory levels.


15. Negotiate long-term contracts in coordination with policies.


16. Supervise a team of buyers and sourcing specialists.


17. Ensure team compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree.


• 6+ years in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Industrial Environment.


• 4+ years in end-to-end supply chain, including negotiations, materials management, project management, and analytics.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated environments.


• 2+ years supervisory experience in lean manufacturing.


• Candidate proximity to Mentor, OH preferred.
