Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
\n• 36 hours per week guaranteed with 13-26 week contracts available
\n• Patient ratios of 1:6-7
\n• Floating required as needed with potential to float every shift
\n• Weekend requirement of 5-6 weekend shifts (every other weekend)
\n• 24-hour unit orientation required
\n• Navy scrubs required
\n• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
\n• Minimum 2 years of experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
\n• Preferred certifications: NIH
\n• Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
\n• Must have interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring experience
\n• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required
\n• Experience with accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care management, and PICC line management required
\n• Cardiac drip titration experience with Diltiazem and Amiodarone required
\n• Must be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team for catastrophic events
\n• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
\n• Self-scheduling per unit needs
\n• Epic charting system experience preferred
\n• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization conditions

This healthcare facility features a comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit with 42 beds serving adult patients. The facility provides specialized cardiac monitoring and care with advanced equipment for managing cardiac drips, sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop procedures. The organization maintains high standards for cardiac patient care and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The facility utilizes modern technology including Pyxis medication systems and Epic documentation.
