Urgent Care Vet Panama City is an after-hours animal hospital that is more affordable than a veterinary emergency room. We offer veterinary services to clients on a walk-in basis including diagnostics and surgery every evening, all weekends, and all holidays. We are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are looking for dynamic individuals with skill sets that can be directly applied as Veterinary Receptionists/Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, working knowledge of electronic medical records, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and work well as part of a team. Responsibilities include greeting clients and their pets, recognizing situations requiring immediate veterinary medical intervention, facilitating the flow of patients/clients, answering phones, providing general administrative support, and daily cleaning of the work area. The successful candidate will be organized, accountable, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Candidates who enjoy challenge and operate from a growth mind-set are likely to be the most satisfied with this job.

Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner.
• Recognize situations requiring immediate intervention and initiate appropriate response.
• Manage the flow of patients and clients through their clinic experience.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records of client visits.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area to OSHA standards.
• Handle payments and process transactions accurately.
• Provide basic information about services offered by the veterinary clinic.
• Complete administrative tasks.
• Complete housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with basic small animal care and restraint for interventions/procedures.
• Lift at least 50 pounds, walk, stand, crouch, kneel, use hands, listen, and visually inspect.
