Job Summary:
The Vice President of DoD Programs will be responsible for understanding DoD operations, procurement processes, and managing large-scale government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in DoD program management or federal acquisition/contract management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. Defense Health Agency (DHA) experience required.
  • Certification: U.S. Government Program Management Level 1, Contracting Officer, or Contracting Officer’s Representative.
  • Extensive knowledge of DoD procurement processes, regulations, and requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex DoD contracts.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Experience with specific DoD programs or systems.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or DAWIA (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act) certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow and manage the company's DoD programs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the DoD sector.
  • Provide visionary leadership to ensure the company's objectives align with DoD requirements and priorities.
  • Oversee the execution of all DoD contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and government regulations.
  • Manage program budgets, schedules, and performance metrics to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Lead program reviews and provide regular updates to senior management on program status and performance.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key DoD stakeholders, including military personnel, government officials, and industry partners.
  • Lead proposal development efforts, including strategy, pricing, and negotiation of DoD contracts.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of program managers, project leads, and support staff.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure professional development and training opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Ensure all DoD programs adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with program execution and delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure program integrity and compliance.
